Accelerate: Micro Review
As I returned home on Friday from an intensive week-long offsite, I saw this book in my mailbox. I had pre ordered it a few weeks ago and completely forgotten about it. My brain could hardly take anymore so I left it alone in the mailbox.
But alas, I couldn’t keep myself away :)
Fair warning — not a light weekend read !!!
The verdict — if you are on the #Devops journey, the latest book from Gene Kim, Nicole Forsgren & Jez Humble is a must read.
The book connects the dots between the concepts that they talked about in the last 2 books with the research that they have done as part of the state of the devops reports.
There is some great insights on measuring software delivery performance, #lean management, cultural and leadership transformation and a holistic capability model. All backed by stats, data and their research.
I am through it once but I am going to go back and read again. It’s a bit heavy at times but then I am a little slow too :)
