Everything is F***ed: Micro review
Mark Manson has done it again — made me read a book with an expletive in its title (and put it on my Post !!!).
Expletives aside, Mark’s second book is a great read. Though I am not 100% personally aligned with his hypothesis, I cannot argue against it.
Yes, we all try to avoid the “uncomfortable truth” — that on the face of it we are inconsequential speck of dust in the cosmic scheme of things. And yes, focusing too much on hope for a better future could distract us from appreciating what’s right in front of us — the wonderful present. However, the truth probably is somewhere in the middle.
Irrespective, I would definitely recommend that you read through the well researched psychological and philosophical background for his hypothesis and his dissection of religion, politics, entertainment and life itself.
Also, his style of humor makes it a very easy and fun read.
