Steven Johnson is a genius!!! In his book “How we got to now”, he expounds on the hummingbird effect, describing how an innovation, or cluster of innovations, in one field ends up triggering changes that seem to belong to a different domain altogether.
The book is just a pleasure to read where he masterfully connects technological advances to cultural, economic and political progress over span of centuries. An exhilarating read !!!
